Welcome to the Saskatchewan Association of School Business Officials new and improved website! SASBO is the professional association of School Business Officials in Saskatchewan. Our purpose is to promote and assist members towards the efficient administration of school board management in Saskatchewan and to establish and maintain the highest possible standards of proficiency, skill and knowledge among school business officials at all levels. We work to cooperate with the Ministry of Education, Saskatchewan School Boards Association, Saskatchewan League of Educational Administrators, Directors and Superintendents and Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation.

The Saskatchewan Association of School Business Officials is a professional organization which is dedicated to providing leadership that results in high standards of school business management. The Association is committed to working with educational partners to promote the best educational environment and quality education for Saskatchewan children.

 

About SASBO

General objectives:

  • to promote and assist in maintaining the efficient administration of Pre-K-12 educational governance in  Saskatchewan through cooperation with Saskatchewan Education, the Saskatchewan School Boards Association, the League of Educational Administrators, Directors and Superintendents, the Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation and other educational stakeholders;
  • to promote and support the highest possible standards of proficiency, skill and knowledge among members of the Association in all matters relating to the business or profession of school business officials through facilitation of professional development, information sharing and peer interaction;
  • to promote and support a unified voice for members through advocacy by way of membership created and endorsed positions.
  
 

 

The Senior School Business Officials Leadership Institute (SBO LEAD) is an initiative spearheaded by the Association of School Business Offiicals of Alberta (ASBOA), in partnership with Banff Executive Leadership (BEL), and is meant to build hands-on leadership capabilities for the new generation of senior leaders in public education K to 12.  For more information, please go to www.sbolead.ca. 

April 23rd, 2010

The Association's 2010 Annual Convention and Trade Show wrapped up on Friday April 23rd.  The convention saw a record number of delegates register and enjoy the many trade show booths, professional development sessions and participate in the Annual General Meeting, where the new association's mission and vision statement was approved.

Thank's to all the sponsors for their generous contributions, the exhibitors who purchased trade show booths, the presenters that gave of their time to make presentations during the convention and to all the delegates that attended. Next years convention will be in Regina April 13th to 15th at the Regina Inn.
