SASBO will provide school business officials with quality professional learning,
leadership, and networking opportunities that support their professional growth.
SASBO is pleased to offer two scholarships for students in Saskatchewan.
The purpose of the scholarship is to:
support the students that association members serve, and
raise awareness of the career opportunities within Saskatchewan’s education sector for business- or management-minded individuals.
There will be a maximum of two $1,500 scholarships awarded annually. Eligibility
The scholarship is open to Saskatchewan residents only.
Applicants shall be a graduating student, or a student who has graduated in the last five years, from a provincial school division or First Nations school in Saskatchewan, entering the first year of an eligible program.
Applicants must be entering a program of study at an accredited university or college in Saskatchewan that would prepare the applicant to work in one of the roles listed above. This could include positions such as journeyman mechanic and trades people who could work into a manager’s position in facilities or transportation.
The program shall be a minimum of a two-year program (can include internships, practicums or work terms that are part of the program).
Requirements
Submission of high school transcripts.
A description of any extra-curricular activities and community service the applicant has been involved in.
Written essay, maximum of 500 words, stating why you would be a good candidate for the awards and how your field of study relates to the business of the education sector.
A letter of recommendation.
Deadline The deadline for applications is May 18, 2025.
Payment The scholarships will be paid after submission of the successful applicants’ post-secondary first term marks.
